Sunday Cooks: Baked Macaroni

I had a craving of Italian dishes, so I baked some macaronis for dinner :) Simple and delicious!


200g Macaroni Pasta
50g Minced beef/chicken
Half of a Bombay onion (chopped)
Garlic – about 3-4 cloves (chopped)
Mixed Herbs
A cup of fresh milk
Olive oil
Eggs (approximately 4 eggs for 200g of macaronis)
Mozarella/Parmesan/Cheddar Cheese
1 tomato (chopped)
½ Chicken stock granules

1) Cook the macaronis until al dente. Put aside.
2) In a wok or frying pan, heat some olive oil and some butter.
3) Sauté the onions and garlic until the aroma rises.
4) Add in the minced beef/chicken.
5) When the meat is cooked, toss some mixed herbs and the chicken stock granules
6) Pour some milk and toss in the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
7) Put in the macaronis and stir.
8) In a casserole dish, smear some butter and put in the fried macaroni. If you wish, toss in some parmesan and blend it in. This is a good time to preheat your oven.
9) Whisk the eggs and pour eggs into the dish.
10) Grate the mozzarella cheese and sprinkle on top.
11) Bake for around 20 minutes in a 175 degree celcius, preheated oven.
12) Serve with some chilli sauce to satisfy your Asian taste buds ;P
