A compilation of my 2015 recipe and homemaking blogposts
It's the New Year's Eve!
2016 is arriving in a matter of hours and of course, another long weekend yeayy.
I really don't have much to say now, but I am nonetheless thankful to be blessed with a beautiful and productive year. Alhamdulillah.
I had a huge milestone this year too - I quit my fulltime job and become a fulltime housewife while pursuing a new freelancing career. Best decision that I have ever made, and I earned two things from it: more time for my family and myself, and more contentment and happiness :)
Well, since it is the end of the year, I think I should do a 2015 round-up for a change. Good idea, no?
So here goes a round-up of recipes and homemaking posts for you too look back.
I hope that it has inspired some of you and helped you make a happy home and family, insya Allah :)
Thank you very much for reading this little blog, and I hope that I will be able to continue writing for the years to come!
Recipes blogpost collection
1) Grilled Peach Salad I bought some peaches from the grocer but it was becoming overripe. So I decided to grill them and turn it into a refreshing salad. If you love tangy and sweet salad, this recipe is for you!
Our family loves salmon because it taste so good! Being Asian, we love to eat salmon with rice. Here I have shared one way to eat salmon, Asian style :)
I bought a jar of protein powder but at one point, it got boring. Haha. So what I did is make a pancake with it! Protein powders adds extra nutrition into the pancake and it tastes just as good as the normal ones (better in fact). Hehe.
4) Baked eggs with spinach
Breakfast can be monotonous sometimes. Of course we always love our nasi lemak with telur mata goyang (yumm), but this is a excellent variation if you love to have eggs for breakfast.

Had enough rice for the day? How about some lebanese bread dipped in an Indian style minced beef dish? This is just as fulfilling as rice but it does makes you full and satisfied in no time.
I admit that I have run out of ideas of what to cook for Khaleeli. Suddenly I remembered that I should play around with the simplest ingredients, and this happened! Eventhough he was too old for mashed food, this makes a good side dish with pasta, for example.
I love spicing out our food with cili padi, so of course my macaroni goreng must have cili padi in it. Here is a simple recipe that works everytime!
Last recipe of 2015 it seems, this is how I made some lemon and honey pannacotta, my husband's favourite dessert. I love the refreshing taste from the lemon and the sinful creamy texture of the cooked cream. Add on some fresh berries and we are in business hehe.
Homemaking blogpost collection

I was experimenting with designing my own wall art and I have come up with a free Iqra' wall art for my readers to download. I have it printed and displayed near our bookcase area. Want one? Click here to download it for FREE!
3) How to organize your own DIY smash cake session
Last August, Khaleeli turned 1 and we decided to celebrate with an intimate DIY Smash cake session. It was fun to prepare and get him make a mess with the cake, and most of all it was a lovely family bonding time! If you are planning to have one for your baby, checkout this post where I have shared some tips on how to do it all yourself!
That's all folks! Hope you enjoy the round-up and maybe you can give one of those recipes a try.
