Our raya this year
When I leave my blog idle for a few weeks I face a problem – I don’t know where to start.
There are tons of things to write about but let me start with Raya.
This year we celebrated in KL – in Gombak to be specific. My PILs place. It has been a while since we celebrated there so it was kind of refreshing. I really enjoyed it too.
Not to mention Bella who had so much fun playing with her cousins. I think perhaps what made it more joyous is because we have more children in the family to create the happy ambiance.
And, this year, I cooked rendang! My first ever rendang, and I chose to debut on a festive day. Thank God it turned out good. Hehehe…
I practically referred to a rendang recipe online (each and every detail!), one that I found from a popular Malaysian food blog – Dapur Tanpa Sempadan. Thanks abang Mat Gebu, you saved my Raya LOL. Here is the recipe link to Resipi Ayam Rendang Basah by Mat Gebu.
(Oh ya, speaking of cooking, I am yet to update about my kitchen! OK will do soon, promise!)
So here are some photos from the occasion (some of them were already on Instagram though). Hubby had to go back to work on 3rd day of raya, so things went slow a bit earlier for us, I even started work as early as Monday.
Other than that, I hope it is not too late to wish my Muslim readers Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid Mubarak)! Please forgive me if my writings have offended any of you in any way, and hope you had (or still having) a pleasant celebration!:)
